We have been working over the last few months in order to improve Gelo Direct (ads.gelo.gr) and provide you with a better service.

New Features:
- Conversion Tracking: A tool that allows advertisers to track the performance of their advertising efforts, by tracking users, in their site, after they click on the ad.
- Yield optimization: Delivering ads based on past performance and bid value. We consider a number of factors for each ad request to determine the resulting CPC cost and position. The algorithm will move performing ads up in rank, potentially lowering their CPC should they perform exceptionally well.

What is Gelo Direct?
Gelo Direct (ads.gelo.gr) is a contextual ad network that delivers highly targeted CPC text ads.

Advertisers can place their text ads within the most relevant webpages in our content network, by choosing keywords that are relevant to their product setting their budget and CPC and paying only when people click on the ads.

Publishers can display targeted Gelo ads within their website’s content pages and earn from valid clicks. Gelo allows publishers access to a large base of advertisers, so you can show ads that are suited to your audience’s interests.

Target youth audiences with neolaia.gr & nfriends.gr

Neolaia.gr & Nfriends.gr recenlty joined Gelo. Both these sites represent a very targeted audience reaching the youths between 15-24. Neolaia.gr is a student guide that offers news and information about politics, internet, music & cinema. Visitors can create their own profile, interact with their friends and actively participate as “editors”, generating content and posting their own articles.

TVXS.gr joins Gelo’s Ad Network

TVXS.gr is a major addition to our network and we are very excited to have them join us. Over the last year, TVXS has had phenomenal growth, reaching more than 300,000 unique visitors per month. The new Movieworld joins Gelo

The site was redesigned earlier this year, launching a number of new features and content in February. Movieworld is a complete guide covering new movie releases for theaters in Athens, Thessaloniki, and in other cities across Greece. Ask4Food Restaurant Guide joins Gelo

Ask4food is an interactive guide to restaurants and fine dining in Athens. Visitors of the site can rate, comment and recommend restaurants they have visited to other users. Ask4food.gr has of the most updated database for restaurants in Athens, with more than 2,000 reviews from people that love gourmed food and fine dining.

Vassilis Koulianos signs on to Gelo as General Manager

Vassilis Koulianos recently joined Gelo Ad Network as a General Manager. Capitalizing on his past experience in interactive marketing, Gelo plans to further fuel its growth as the fastest growing ad network in Greece & the Balcans.

Vassilis comes from the digital marketing background, having worked in similar positions, responsible for sales of internet technology & services as well as market development.

Vassilis started his career in TV Production but soon online advertising & mobile marketing won his heart. In 2002 he started working for Alphajust S.A. as an Account Manager handling large clients in the area of mobile marketing & content provisioning. In 2004 he moved to ignition.gr, as Project Manager to undertake the development of the first interactive online car portal in Greece.

Having driven the fastest cars in the world for two years, in 2006 he decided to shift gears and went to work for an ad netwok, ThinkDigital. There he assumed a dual role, as Account Manager for Direct Clients & Media Agencies, and as Country Manager developing the company’s operations in Cyprus.

One of the sites that that we recently added to Gelo Ad Network, SintagesPareas.gr, incorporates thousands of member submitted recipes and original content from around Greece, offering a wealth of infomation and tips focused on cooking, food and shopping.

We are really excited to have them join us, not because its has some many people that add their recipes daily (more than 80 new recipes per day), not because it has more than 300,000 unique users every month, and not because it has 5,000,000 monthly pageviews, but because of the people that are behind it.

The founders started the site a few years ago as a project to share their recipes with others, and since then, the site has evolved into a community where people from all over Greece go and share their culinary experiences.
